Fleet Attributes

Management

This section contains management specific information:

Ownership: Indicates who owns the item.
Acquired from: Indicates the company the item was purchased/acquired from.
Maintained by: Indicates the Department in charge of servicing and maintenance of the item.
Demarcation details: Indicates other entities which might have conjunct responsibility or ownership of the asset.

Vehicle details

This section contains vehicle specific information:

Body Type: Indicates the style/type of plant, vehicle or equipment.
Colour: Indicates the actual color of the plant, vehicle or equipment as described by the manufacturer.
Seating Capacity: Indicates how many passengers (including the driver) the plant, vehicle or equipment can legally carry.
No. of Cylinders: Indicates how many cylinders are contained in the engine of the plant, vehicle or equipment.
Transmission: Indicates the type of transmission for that plant, vehicle or equipment.
Engine Number: Indicates the unique engine number for that plant, vehicle or equipment as described by the manufacturer.
Chassis Number: Indicates the unique chassis number for that plant, vehicle or equipment as described by the manufacturer.
Manufacture Year: Indicates the day/month/year that the plant, vehicle or equipment was made.
Compliance Date: Indicates the day/month/year in which the plant, vehicle or equipment met standards and was made compliant (ready for sale). Often used as the same date as manufacture year unless otherwise notified.
Key Number: Indicates the reference number & location of the spare key on the master key cabinet located in the Workshop.
Radio Code: Indicates the radio number (channel) used by the allocated driver as their main point of contact via Two-Way radio.
Auto Club No.: Indicates whether or not the plant, vehicle or equipment is covered by Vehicle breakdown assistance program.
Auto Club Expiry: Indicates the auto club expiry date.
Etag#: Indicates tollway account number.
Serial Number: Indicates the unique serial number allocated to that item of plant, vehicle or equipment.
Defect Book: Indicates the NHVAS compliant Defect Book number issued to that item of plant, vehicle or equipment. Note: Defect Books are issued to all major plant regardless of if they are under the NHVAS or not.
Defect Book Page Range: Indicates the page rage of the NHVAS compliant Defect Book issued.

Fuel details

Contains information on the fuel type and quantity for the vehicle as well as fuel card numbers and card suppliers.

The "Status Exception Report" relies on the information in fields "Range" and "Primary Capacity" to check for errors in the Meter and Fuel Quantity Readings stored in the Meter Readings (Status) Tab.

Primary Fuel: Indicates the type of fuel used by this plant, vehicle or equipment.
Primary Capacity: Indicates the maximum fuel tank capacity (in Litres) for this plant, vehicle or equipment.
Secondary Fuel: For a secondary fuel source/ the type of fuel used by this plant, vehicle or equipment.
Secondary Capacity: For a secondary fuel source/type indicates the maximum fuel tank capacity (in Litres) for this plant, vehicle or equipment.
Tank Units: Unit of measure, typically liters.
Range: Indicates the approximate range the plant, vehicle or equipment can travel in with a full fuel tank.

Note: This is only an estimate advised in the manufacturer's book and is dependent on the type of use of the plant, vehicle or equipment.

Fuel Card #: Indicates the number of the plant/vehicle/equipment specific fuel card issued.
Card Supplier: Indicates the company used to refuel the item of plant, vehicle or equipment.
Daily Card Limit: Indicates if there is a specific limit (in Litres) to the amount of fuel that the item of plant, vehicle or equipment can refill with each day.
Card Expiry Date: Indicates the day/month/year that the card is due to expire.

Tyres

Contains information pertaining to tyre specifics and is used in conjunction when ordering replacement tyres:

Tyre Size Steer: Indicates the size & type of steering tyres specific to that plant, vehicle or equipment.
# of Steer: Indicates the number of wheels used to steer that plant, vehicle or equipment.
Tyre Size Drive: Indicates the size & type of driving tyres specific to that plant, vehicle or equipment.
# of Drive: Indicates the number of wheels driven by the engine on that plant, vehicle or equipment.
Wheel Base: Indicates the size (in millimeters) of the wheelbase.
Wheel Drive: indicates the size (in millimeters) of the wheel drive.
No. of Axles: Indicates how many axles the plant, vehicle or equipment has.

Warranty Details, Lease Details, Registration Details, and Insurance Details

Details and Dates (Start, Finish, and Renewal) for Warranty, Lease, Registration, and Insurance of an item are kept in these relevant sections. The dates will show up in the Summary pages in both the Asset Register and the Fleet Managers pages, as reminders as the dates approach.

Replacement details

This area contains information about the timing, costing and dates for the replacement of fleet items. Reports such as the Whole of Life Cost, Income, and Expenses, Approved Replacement and Replacement Program Report all relies on the information stored in this section.
